Personally Identifiable Information
Personally identifiable information (“PID”) is information that identifies a particular individual or is closely associated with a particular individual’s identity. PID includes information such as an individual’s name, address, phone number, email, or any other data that may be used to identify, contact, or connect with the individual.
This site does not currently collect PID except: (1) to the extent that your browser provides PID, like your e-mail address, the site you linked from to this site’s server, or a unique persistent identifier associated with an individual or a networked device, including a customer number held in a cookie, a user ID, a processor serial number, or a device serial number; (2) to the extent that you provide PID to this site in an e-mail, comment, or other communication; and (3) to the extent that you provide PID to this site in a Common Gateway Interface form (for example, when you complete a search request on this site’s search feature).
Briggs may use your PID for any of the following reasons:
- the specific purpose for which you submitted PID;
- to enable computing systems to provide, render, or optimize the performance of the site; or
- to gauge the popularity of the site.
In addition, Briggs may use or release your PID to comply with the law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Briggs or others.
